KATHMANDU, Aug 22: The low-pressure line of the monsoon is hovering close to its average position, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
Heavy rainfall likely in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini
This afternoon, skies are expected to remain mostly cloudy across the country. Moderate rainfall is likely in several hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini, with a few other provinces also seeing showers. The MFD has warned of possible heavy downpours in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and both the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini.
By tonight, hilly regions are expected to stay generally cloudy, while other parts of the country may see partly cloudy skies. Moderate rain is forecast at some places in the hills and scattered parts of the Terai, with the possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two spots in Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces.
