KATHMANDU, Nov 21: Central member of Janata Samajwadi Party and former member of House of Representatives, Hari Narayan Rauniyar, has joined the CPN-UML.
In a meeting held in Pokhariya, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli welcomed Raunyiar into the party.

Rauniyar, who joined the UML, is also the former chairman of Pappu Construction.
Rauniyar faced corruption charges and was subsequently suspended from parliament in October 2018. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had filed a case against him and 12 others for financial irregularities and negligence in the construction of Babai River bridge.
The bridge collapsed during its construction in 2017. Rauniyar, the former chairman of Pappu Construction, was responsible for building the bridge under a government contract.
