Cyber Bureau urges public to be cautious of online scams

The bureau specifically advised the public not to click on or install software from suspicious links.

KATHMANDU, April 10 : The Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police has urged the public to stay alert against online scams.


In a statement released on Thursday, spokesperson for the bureau Deepak Raj Awasti warned citizens about increasing phishing scams. These scams primarily occur through social media, where individuals are tricked into downloading software by clicking on links that promise loan payment assistance or training related to the stock market.
