Fog envelopes most parts of Terai since morning, snowfall likely in highlands

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: There is a partial effect of the western wind over the country on Sunday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD),

Currently, the weather is mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country, including Koshi and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the region is mostly clear. Some places in Terai have experienced thick fog.

This afternoon, the weather will be mostly clear in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, while the remaining areas will also be mostly clear. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

According to the MFD, the weather will be mostly clear in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali regions tonight.
