BAJURA, June 28: Tension has flared at Matawada in Budhiganga Municipality-8 after CPN-UML cadres clashed with Nepali Congress cadres on Wednesday.
The security personnel opened fire into the air to take the situation under control. According to police the situation has now come under control and the voting has resumed.
Around 80 percent votes have been cast. There are 64,000 voters, 92 polling stations and 70 polling centers.
Locals – adults to elderly - are enthusiastically taking part in the local elections regardless of the hectic season – when the farmers have to keep themselves busy planting rice.
