BAJURA, Nov 7: On Tuesday, at 12:58 PM, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4 on the Richter scale was recorded, with epicenter from the Raya area within the Himali Rural Municipality in the northeastern part of Bajura district.
BAJURA, Aug 19 : Air flights disrupted for two weeks resumed at Kolti airport of Bajura district on Friday. The flights were halted owing to the direction of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) to airline companies not to conduct flights in mountainous districts after midday.

DHANGADHI/BAJURA, Jan 24: At least one person was killed and two others were injured when a strong earthquake struck Bajura district on Tuesday afternoon. The earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale rattled western Nepal with its epicenter around the Mela area of Bajura district in Sudurpaschim Province at 2:43 pm on Tuesday.

A ballot box was set on fire at the polling station of Bhagwati Aadharbhut School located in Ward No. 2 of Swamikartik Khapar Rural Municipality. BAJURA, June 15: Police have arrested three people in Bajura on the charge of rape and atempted in a period of one month. Three cases have been registered at the District Police Office, Bajura in the Nepali month of Jyestha itself. Of them, two are accused of rape and one is accused of attempted rape.
KATHMANDU, Dec 6: Two people were killed in an auto rickshaw accident at Thuwakandha in Bajura's Badimalika Municipality-8. According to the District Police Office, Bajura, two of the four injured in the accident died on the spot.
BAJURA, Nov 11: Two men have been found dead at separate places in Bajura. The deceased have been identified as Jeevan Chadara, 18, of Jagannath Municipality-6 and Kehere Katuwal, 62, of Banegaon Koldanda of Budhiganga Municipality-4.
MARTADI, August 16: A dry landslide has continued for days at Swamikartik Rural Municipality-1 in the east northern belt in Bajura district, putting over 150 houses at risk of being washed away. The landslip at the lower part of Runi village and near Chhuddari village has caused risks of the Karnali river being blocked, said local residents.

As per the government record, as many as 865 women received safe abortion service through government-run health centers in the district. Of the total 28 health centers in the district, 15 health centers have been providing abortion service to women.
BAJURA, Nov 12: Rejina Nepali, who gave birth to a healthy baby at the Chhatara Health Post in Bajura district on November 2, died six hours after the delivery at the health post. That was the fourth child of the deceased, a local of Bishan Bazar, Chhatara. Her family members have blamed her death on the 'health post's negligence'.
