LALITPUR, Dec 26: The fifth edition of the 'Artificial Intelligence (AI)' education-related program is set to take place in Lalitpur.
At a press conference organized by the Nepal Applied Mathematics and Informatics Institute (NAMI) on Wednesday, it was announced that this year's fifth edition of the educational program will be held in Lalitpur from tomorrow, Friday, until January 6.

NAMI's 'Education Outreach' head, Alok Khatri, stated that the fifth edition of this program will focus on the foundations of 'Artificial Intelligence' and its implementation. He described the program as South Asia's largest and most unique platform, bringing together scientists, professors, and participants from around the world for in-depth lectures, laboratory sessions, and project work related to AI.
"This program will encompass fundamental to advanced concepts and methods, their subjects, and applications. It will allow the participation of 200 students at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD levels in computer science, as well as professionals working in the AI field," said Khatri.
The program, set to take place at Premier International School in Khumaltar, Lalitpur, will feature 25 scientists and professors from around the world presenting various aspects and concepts of AI.
NAMI's founding director and researcher, Bishesh Khanal, stated that NAMI has been dedicated to research and development for about seven to eight years. He mentioned that their efforts are driven by the goal of developing AI technologies that can provide knowledge and solutions capable of enhancing quality of life and fulfilling human needs.
