KATHMANDU, Jan 7: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the issue of introducing the Federal Education Act is one of the priorities of the new government.
Addressing the Central Committee meeting of the All Nepal Teachers Organization at Mahendra High School in Kathmandu on Saturday morning, Prime Minister Dahal said that the government is serious about issuing the Federal Education Act.
New Education Act in the pipeline
"Even during the tenure of the previous government, some works of the Federal Education Act have been done. However, the Act was not issued. This time, bringing the Federal Education Act is the government's priority”, he said. “After issuing this Act, most of the problems related to the education sector and teachers will be addressed.”
“Teaching Hospital has come forward on our own initiative. It is also our responsibility to implement it successfully. Apart from this, we have to take some initiative for the dignified life of teachers. The government is also thinking in that direction," said Prime Minister Dahal.
Prime Minister Dahal also said that teachers have an important role in political change and social transformation of the country. He said, "Teachers have been making an important contribution to social awareness, political awakening and building political and social successors." We should be proud of this.
