UDAYAPUR, Dec 23: District Court, Udayapur has slapped life imprisonment to a man, 45, convicted of raping his own daughter on Tuesday.
A bench of Madhav Parajuli, Chief Judge at District Court, Udayapur, passed a verdict, sentencing the father from Udayapurgadi Rural Municipality to life imprisonment and Rs 55,000 in fine on charge of raping his own daughter, according to Information Officer at District Court, Udayapur, Raj Kumar Acharya.

According to the District Court, the victim and her mother had filed a rape case against the father on February 3, 2020. In their writ petition, they accused him of raping his own daughter and sought maximum possible punishment for the crime.
