CHITWAN, Oct 8: The body of *Mohan Prasad Ghimire, who had gone missing along with his brother former Home Minister Madhav Prasad Ghimire in the Trishuli River, has been found after a search lasting over a week.
The mortal remains of Ghimire was found at the Bagai section of the Trishuli river in Devghat VDC – 4 of Tanahun district, District Police Office, Chitwan said.
A team led by Superintendent of Police (SP), Basanta Bahadur Kunwar, reached the site after Ghimire's body was spotted by a fisherman. The police identified the body on the basis of an identity card and an ATM card inside a purse Ghimire was carrying.
The bodies of the former Home Minister and that of his another brother still remain unaccounted for. The search still continues.
A jeep carrying seven people including the former Home Minister had plunged into the Trishuli River at Goptebhir along the Prithvi Highway on September 25.
The bodies of Ghimire's mother, his body guard and relative were found immediately after the incident.
