Man's body found on Durga Temple premises in Janakpur

A man's body has been found in Janakpur Dham. The body was found on Friday morning on the premises of the Durga Temple, located on the path leading from Vidyapati Chowk to the Survey Office in Janakpur Dham.

JANAKPURDHAM, Dec 20: A man's body has been found in Janakpur Dham. The body was found on Friday morning on the premises of the Durga Temple, located on the path leading from Vidyapati Chowk to the Survey Office in Janakpur Dham.


The body of an about 50-year-old man, who remains unidentified, has been found, said DSP Barun Bahadur Singh, spokesperson for the Dhanusha District Police Office.

According to the police, the deceased man had a head injury, and a brick was found nearby. It appears that someone struck his head with the brick, leading to his death. Authorities are searching for the person involved in the murder.


The police have stated that the appearance of the deceased man resembled that of a beggar or a sadhu. A team, including a trained dog, has been deployed at the crime scene, and the Dhanusha police have confirmed that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.


Earlier, on Thursday (yesterday), a body was found tied in a sack and thrown under a bridge near the Parshuram Pond in Purandaha, Mithila Bihari Municipality-2, Dhanusha.
