BUTWAL, July 13: A man was killed after being struck by a stone thrown at him by his own younger brother during a loan repayment argument. The victim has been identified as Mahesh Bhar of Gaidahawa-1, Rupandehi. He was hit by his own brother.
On Tuesday evening, there was a feud between the two brothers over the repayment of a microfinance loan. Police Inspector Deepak Kunwar of the District Police Office, Rupandehi, said that Mahesh died last night after being hit by a stone thrown by his brother Umesh. He died while undergoing treatment.
Father kills son, younger brother
The family had taken a loan of Rs 20,000 from Suryapura Rural Microfinance two years ago. Employees of the microfinance institution had reached the house on Tuesday afternoon saying that they had not repaid the loan for a long time. At around 9 PM, there was a quarrel between the brothers over who would repay the loan.
Gita Bhar, wife of Mahesh Bhar, said that Umesh started pelting stones during their fight. She has lodged a complaint against her brother-in-law and mother-in-law, Surara. Police have arrested Umesh’s family.
