Education ministry issues advisory not to enroll in foreign-affiliated colleges sans permission

KATHMANDU, April 10: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has cautioned against enrolling students in colleges having affiliation with foreign educational institutions but operating without acquiring permission for the same.

KATHMANDU, April 10: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has cautioned against enrolling students in colleges having affiliation with foreign educational institutions but operating without acquiring permission for the same.


Issuing a notice, the ministry has made public a list of 49 educational institutions that have acquired permission to run the Advanced Level, the International Baccalaureate, and CBSE programs or equivalent courses. It urged all concerned not to enroll students in these programs in other educational institutions, except those mentioned in the list.

However, the International Education Providers of Nepal have stated that 89 educational institutions having affiliation with foreign academic programs and boards are in operation in Nepal.


The ministry has warned of action against the educational institutions running foreign courses and programs without taking permission for the same.
