KATHMANDU, April 5: The Election Commission(EC) is scheduled to publish the final name list today for the by-election to be held on April 23.
The commission will publish the final list of candidates after investigating the complaints filed against them by Tuesday.
EC to publish name list of FPTP candidates today
The commission has set the time for filing complaints against the candidates who registered their nominations in Tanahun-1, Chitwan-2 and Bara-2 on Monday.
In all the three constituencies, 69 people have registered their candidacies from various parties and independent candidates, but four complaints have been filed mainly against Rabi Lamichhane, the chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party who is a candidate from Chitwan-2.
Lamichhane has previously been dismissed by the Supreme Court, and the by-election is about to be held again in that constituency.
