EC holds discussions with Home minister

KATHMANDU, Nov 4: The Election Commission (EC) has discussed with Minister for Home Affairs Madhav Prasad Ghimire regarding the peace and security, transportation of election materials and other issues.



At a meeting held at the EC on Monday, Election Commissioners Dolakh Bahadur Gurung, dr Ram Bhakta PV Thakur and chiefs of the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force were present.[break]



After the meeting, Thakur said that the entire issues of security relating to supply of the ballot paper, ballot box and others materials to the related election constituency were discussed.



On the occasion, Minister Ghimire said that the government has arranged a strong security arrangement for peace and security in the election.



Meanwhile, on a separate issue, the EC has said that no CC camera would be installed in any of the polling booth for election purpose.



At a regular press meet, Thakur said ruled out the chance of camera installment in the secret voting right.



"The EC even cannot think of CC camera installation," he clarified.
