Durga Prasai-led group begins protest in the capital with a release of a pair of pigeons

KATHMANDU, Feb 13: The protest program organized by a group led by the controversial medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai began in the capital with the release of a pair of pigeons today.


The protest, launched as a part of the 'Saving Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture, and Citizen Rescue Campaign', commenced last year on Falgun 1 in the presence of the former King Gyanendra Shah. The group has been advocating for the restoration of monarchy and the reinstatement of Nepal as a Hindu state.

The Prasai-led group has announced a demonstration program at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu, along with planned demonstrations in various seven locations in the Kathmandu Valley. Former King Gyanendra Shah was also invited to address the event. However, he expressed his inability to attend the protest program.
