TAPLEJUNG, May 8: All three departmental teams and Gandaki Province have advanced into the semifinals of the ongoing Third Pathivara Men’s National Volleyball Tournament in Taplejung.
At Maiwakhola Rural Municipality in Sanghupati, the defending champion Nepal Police Club and other two departmental sides Tribhuvan Army Club and Armed Police Force (APF) Club, besides Gandaki, made it to the last four.
In the first quarterfinal match, Police defeated Province 3 25-11, 24-26, 25-15, 25-14 to end Province 3’s campaign knocking the team out of the tournament without registering a single point.
