DHAKA, Bangladesh, Aug 2: Heavy rain washed out the entire fourth day of the second cricket test between Bangladesh and South Africa on Sunday, leaving the prospect of a result bleak.

Not a ball has been bowled on the last three days and officials said there will be no attempt to make up for lost time on the fifth day Monday.

Bangladesh is 246-8 in its first innings with captain Mushifuqr Rahim topping the score with 65 runs.

Nasir Hossain is batting on 13.
