KATHMANDU, May 14: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday lost 13.96 points to close at 2,620.27 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,634.23 points and gradually increased to reach the day’s high at 2,642.79 points in the first two and a half hours. The market however plunged downhill and lost around 14 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Only two groups--development banks and ‘others’ gained 65.05 points and 55.12 points, respectively. Of the 11 losers, non-life insurance shed 174.83 points, the highest of all.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, declined 3.28 points. Daily turnover amount fell to Rs 8.73 billion from Rs 9.63 billion on Tuesday.
Among the individual companies, 62 were gainers while 183 were recorded as losers. Radhi Bidyut Company had the biggest turnover of its shares worth Rs 593.29 million.
Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited with a decline of 9.98 percent of its market price was recorded as the highest loser. Om Meghashree Pharmaceutical Limited gained the highest of 9.98 percent of its market value.
