Jerai even hosted a reception in honor of Dahal, who has been staying at a Beijing-based state guesthouse. Vice-premier Ai Ping was also present at the meeting.
UCPN (Maoist) foreign department chief Krishna Bahadur Mahara said the meeting dwelt on issues like relationship between the two parties and Nepal´s peace process and constitution-writing.
“Chinese leaders have vowed to lend support to take the peace process to a logical end saying that they want peace and stability in Nepal,” Mahara said.
The delegation led by Dahal had reached Beijing after visiting the Shanghai Expo.
Dahal, Mahara, politburo member Agni Sapkota and Samir Dahal are returning home Tuesday.
On PLA commander´s China visit, one official at the Nepal Pavilion said, “I came to know about the commanders´ visit through reports published in Nagarik Daily. But they were not seen visiting the Nepal Pavilion or pavilions of other countries. They might have come on a political mission.”
