The four-member delegation led by vice minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Guo Yezhou, met Chairperson Nepal at a hotel in New Baneshwar, Kathmandu.
Earlier this morning, the Chinese delegation also met the other Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the latter's residence in Khumaltar.
Visiting CPC delegation meets leaders of rival faction of NCP
The four-member CPC delegation, which arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday afternoon, held separate meetings with President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on the same day.
The President's Office and the Prime Minister's Office have confirmed the meetings, however, have not made public what transpired during the meetings.
The Chinese leaders' visit to Nepal comes at a time when Beijing appears particularly concerned over the move of Prime Minister Oli to dissolve the House of Representatives and the evolving political situation that saw a vertical split in the NCP.
The delegation is also scheduled to meet some leaders of the main opposition party Nepali Congress.
