Curfew to be clamped in Hetauda from Monday midnight

MAKWANPUR, Aug 10: The District Security Committee, Makwanpur, has decided to enforce curfew orders in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City, the capital of Bagmati Province, and in a section of the East-West Highway in Manahari Rural Municipality from Monday midnight.

The committee, on the recommendation of the District COVID-19 Management Committee, decided to impose curfew in these areas till the midnight of August 16 in a bid to curb further spread of COVID-19.

So far, as many as 83 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Makwanpur.

Earlier on Sunday, the district witnessed the highest single-day spike of 23 new COVID-19 cases at the community level.

In Makwanpur, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City has recorded the highest cases of COVID-19. Likewise, Manahari Rural Municipality, Thaha Municipality, Bhimphedi Rural Municipality and Makawanpur Gadhi Rural Municipality have also witnessed a significant number of COVID-19 cases.
