TAPLEJUNG, August 20: CPN (Unified Socialist) Taplejung District Chapter, has unanimously recommended the names of the candidates for the direct and proportional representation for the Provincial Assembly and House of Representatives (HoR) elections scheduled for November 20.
According to Chhiring Lama, the District Chairman of CPN-Unified Socialist, who is also the head of the District Coordination Committee, Harak Yakso (Atharai Tribeni Rural Municipality), Kalpana Tumbahamfe (Meringden Rural Municipality) and Mukunda Bhattarai (Mikwakhola Rural Municipality) have been recommended for the candidacy of for the federal parliament election under first past the post electoral system.

Similarly, the meeting has decided to recommend Ambika Rajbhandari (Fungling Municipality), Dumbara Bahadur Tumbahamfe (Meringden Rural Municipality) and Trilochan Guragai (Fungling Municipality) under the Proportional Representation electoral system of the House of Representatives.
Lama informed that the names of Nita Kumari Siva and Amar Lohar of Fungling Municipality and Aarasi Pomu (Atharai Tribeni Rural Municipality) and Devimaya Nepali (Meringden Rural Municipality) have been recommended for the Proportional Representation of the Provincial Assembly. Along with this, CPN-Unified Socialist has become the first party to recommend a candidate from Taplejung in the upcoming House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections.
