KATHMANDU, Aug 8: CPN-UML leader Surya Thapa has accused Santosh Chalise, the chairperson of the Finance Committee  under the House of Representatives (HoR), of holding a meeting of the committee so as to influence the share market.

Speaking at the committee’s meeting held on Thursday, Thapa accused Chairperson Chalise of calling the meeting with the intention of influencing the share market.

Chairperson Chalise held the meeting to hold a discussion on the capital market. The meeting of the committee is currently ongoing. Chalise responded that the meeting was held to discuss market development and would not negatively impact the share market.
