COVID-19 tally in Gandaki jumps to 75

POKHARA, June 6: The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Gandaki Province has reached 75 as 16 new cases were confirmed earlier on Saturday morning.

POKHARA, June 6: The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Gandaki Province has reached 75 as 16 new cases were confirmed earlier on Saturday morning.


According to Gandaki Province Health Directorate, two new cases were identified in Kaski district. Two males (aged 23 and 32) from Rupa Rural Municipality were diagnosed with this disease.

Similarly, ten new cases were confirmed in Syangja district - eight in Waling Municipality and two in Harinas Rural Municipality, according to Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, director at the directorate.


Three males from Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality in Nawalpur and one person from Baglung’s Tarakhola Rural Municipality also tested positive for this virus.


Director Sharma told Republica Online that the newly-diagnosed patients are being taken to isolation wards at the respective district hospitals.
