CIAA files corruption case against APF Inspector for submitting fake educational certificate

A corruption case has been filed against Inspector Chhabilal Kunwar, who resigned from the APF No-29 Battalion Headquarters, Dang, after an investigation was initiated against him for securing a job based on a fake educational qualification certificate.

KATHMANDU, Dec 11: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against a police inspector of the Armed Police Force (APF).


A corruption case has been filed against Inspector Chhabilal Kunwar, who resigned from the APF No-29 Battalion Headquarters, Dang, after an investigation was initiated against him for securing a job based on a fake educational qualification certificate.

According to CIAA Spokesperson Narahari Ghimire, Kunwar had submitted an educational certificate stating that he had passed the high school level examination under the Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (Board of High School and Intermediate Education, UP).The CIAA has filed a case at the Special Court claiming that Kunwar landed a government job and subsequently received promotions and benefits based on  fake education certificates.
