PM skips parliament Q&A session citing health issues

During the Business Advisory Committee meeting, CPN-UML Chief Whip Mahesh Kumar Bartaula informed that the Prime Minister would not be present for the Q&A session due to health concerns.

KATHMANDU, Aug 20 : Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was scheduled to answer lawmakers’ questions in today’s session of the House of Representatives. However, the program has been postponed after Prime Minister Oli cited health reasons for not being able to attend.



During the Business Advisory Committee meeting, CPN-UML Chief Whip Mahesh Kumar Bartaula informed that the Prime Minister would not be present for the Q&A session due to health concerns.

The agenda for today’s House session includes Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizens Nawalkishor Sah presenting a proposal for consideration of the Children’s Bill (First Amendment), 2082.


Similarly, the session will also hear a proposal to send the Human Trafficking and Transportation (Control) First Amendment Bill, 2081 to the concerned parliamentary committee for clause-wise discussion.
