Cimex Inc. launches BYD ATTO 2 at NADA Auto Show 2025

KATHMANDU, August 20: Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of BYD Auto Industry Co. Ltd. in Nepal, unveiled the all-new BYD ATTO 2, the country’s most accessible compact electric SUV, at the NADA Auto Show 2025.

The launch was graced by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, alongside Anil Shrestha, Chairman of Cimex Inc., Yamuna Shrestha, Managing Director of Cimex Inc. and BYD’s Nepal brand ambassadors Hari Bansha Acharya and Asmi Shrestha.

It is equipped with BYD’s iconic Blade Battery, intelligent in-cabin technology, and premium comfort features. The SUV is available at an introductory price of NRs. 43.99 lakhs, including a 7 kW wall-mounted charger.

The ATTO 2 features a chunky SUV design within a compact footprint, measuring 4,310 mm long, 1,830 mm wide, and 1,675 mm tall, with a 2,620 mm wheelbase and 200 mm ground clearance, suitable for urban and suburban Nepali roads. Its 51.13 kWh Blade Battery delivers a WLTP range of up to 345 km, powered by a 100 kW motor generating 290 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just 9 seconds.

The exterior boasts full LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, a floating roofline, and a distinctive rear LED taillight bar, featuring a roof spoiler with a Mobius Infinity Ring symbolizing endless good luck.

Inside, the ATTO 2 offers a stylish and practical cabin with synthetic leather seats, ventilated front seats, a 6-way adjustable driver seat, and 4-way adjustable passenger seat. The flat EV floor and 60/40 split rear seats enhance cargo flexibility. Technology includes a 12.8” rotating touchscreen, 8.8” LCD instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay® & Android Auto™ (wired & wireless), voice assistant, and wireless smartphone charging.

The SUV integrates BYD’s Blade Battery with Cell-to-Body (CTB) construction, enhancing space, rigidity, and safety. Using lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry, the battery is cobalt- and nickel-free, highly durable, and safe. The ATTO 2 also offers Level 2 ADAS, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, traffic jam assist, auto emergency braking, speed limit control, and a 360° view monitor. Six airbags, ESC, TCS, hill descent control, and ISOFIX anchors ensure all-round protection.

Speaking at the launch, Anil Shrestha highlighted the ATTO 2’s role in making electric SUVs more accessible, combining practicality, safety, and advanced technology. Yamuna Shrestha emphasized that the model brings SUV aspirations to a wider audience and reinforces Cimex’s leadership in Nepal’s EV transformation.

The BYD ATTO 2 is available in Breeze Green, Harbour Grey, Cosmos Black, and Ski White with a black interior. Bookings are open at all BYD showrooms nationwide.
