KATHMANDU, Jan 17: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against Hira Lal Yadav, chief assistant (computer) of Purbanchal University, in the Special Court, Kathmandu, on charges of submitting fake educational certificates.
According to the statement issued by the CIAA, two separate institutions under Purbanchal University had appointed Yadav on the basis of fake and forged educational certificates issued from the Maharaja Agrasen Public School, Ashok Vihar, New Delhi under the Central Board of Secondary Education of India.

The statement confirms that Yadav was initially appointed as chief assistant (computer) under Purbanchal University College of Medical and Allied Sciences (PUCMAS) on a temporary basis and later received permanent appointment in Purvanchal University School of Management, Biratnagar on the basis of the fake certificate.
On this basis, the anti-graft body filed a charge sheet against Yadav as per Section 16(1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059 with a demand for imprisonment and fine.
