'Chitooo' goes Public

KATHMANDU: Amage launched an app called ‘Chitooo’ on Monday. The app works as a platform between Facebook users and Small Medium Enterprises (SME).

According to the press statement released by Amage, ‘Chitooo’ provides access to a world of offers through users’ existing Facebook account, connecting right users to right stores or restaurants.

This start up aims to establish a favorable eco-system for SMEs, lower the cost of acquiring new customers, and retain old customers. Both users and the stores can equally benefit from this app. Users get more value, while SMEs get more customers.

According to the statement, the ‘Chitooo’ team grew from co-founders of three to over 15 energetic youths after eight months of development and testing the app in the valley. With a pilot launch conducted amongst roughly 1,000 students in the valley during June, the mobile is now available as a Public Beta in Google Playstore.

For every kind of Facebook posts (status, selfies or check-ins), ‘Chitooo’ rewards users with points, which can be redeemed at partner stores for exclusive offers and deals. While users may earn 10 points for a status update, they also get 100 points for checking-in at the partner stores with their picture. Users can get the app from Google Playstore and log in using their existing Facebook account, no signups are required.
