CHITWAN, April 26: Process to trap rhinos meant to be gifted to China will begin on Friday.
Upon request of the Chinese government, the government had decided to present two pairs of rhinos to China two years ago.
Required technical team and equipment will reach Khoriya in the east of Chitwan National Park this evening where a pair of rhinos aged one or two each will be captured, said Chief Conservation Office at the CNP Bed Kumar Dhakal. "On Friday, the rhinos, two male and two female, will be captured by darting the wild animal.
And thereafter they will be transported on a truck to Sauraha through an inner route of the CNP where they will be kept in a confined," he said.
Park officials supported by ten tamed elephants, a dozer, a tractor, and a jeep will be used to catch the rhinos. RSS
