Child workers rescued from brick klins

BHAKTAPUR, March 20: Fifteen minors have been rescued from five different brick kilns here in a bid to ridding the Bhaktapur district of child labour.



The Child Welfare Board Bhaktapur, Concern Nepal, Save the Children, and the Women and Child Welfare Office, Bhaktapur had jointly rescued the children and kept them at Concern Nepal´s care shelter at Kalimati.[break]



These children have already been handed over to their parents, said Dr. Bijaya Sainju, Chairman of Concern Nepal. These children are from Dhading, Kavre, Ramechhap and Sindhupalchok districts, he said.
