The dead child is identified as Govinda Thapa, 18-month-old son of Lilaram Thapa of Purandhara-9 Ringkholi. The sick children are 4-year son Bhola Thapa of Lilaram and Chandrakali Pun, the 4-year-old daughter of Purba Pun. [break]
While they were playing the innocent children had consumed Metacid unknowingly. Police said Govinda died the same night while undergoing treatment in Rapti Zonal Hospital, Tulsipur.
Meanwhile in another incident, the dead body of an unidentified child nearly 10 years old was found on the banks of Gwar Khola at Haripauri in Tarigaun-3. Police suspected that a flood might have swept away the child.
