KATHMANDU, May 12: President Ram Chandra Paudel has relieved House of Representatives (HoR) Secretary Harka Raj Rai from his post on the recommendation of Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal.

According to officials, the President formally removed Rai from office following the Speaker’s decision. Prior to his dismissal, Rai had been asked to furnish a clarification regarding his conduct.
Rai was earlier appointed to the position by then-Speaker Devraj Ghimire.
