KATHMANDU, Dec 17: Nepali Chef Santosh Shah has made it to the Final Three of BBC Master Chef UK Professionals, a popular cookery TV show in the UK.
Shah has been impressing the judges in the show cooking authentic Nepali dishes. Cooking lamb marinated in spices with fermented mustard greens served with a bone marrow curry sauce with a mint paratha in the first round, Shah, in his Dhaka Topi, was successful in securing a seat in the Final Three on Wednesday.

The next round was the challenge round where the remaining chefs were asked to cook a dish for someone they love. Santosh cooked a meal for his mother, reminiscent of the days when he was 12 years old working at a local canal. At break time, his mother would bring him food in a lunchbox and they would eat together. Santosh recreated these special moments by cooking fried okra stuffed with ginger and fig, a mango and coconut chutney, a potato, fenugreek and pomegranate salad, saffron rice wrapped in rice paper, with a crab curry sauce, and a poori bread with fried green chillis, along with a carrot, chocolate and raspberry pudding in a white chocolate dome with raspberry puree and payan leaf ice cream.
Shah will be cooking against two other chefs tomorrow for the title of Masterchef champion 2020!
Shah has been a social media sensation in Nepal and around the globe as a strong contender in the BBC Master Chef UK Professionals.
