KATHMANDU, April 17: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has honored the finalists of BBC “Master Chef The Professionals 2020” including its winner Chef Santosh Shah amid a program organized in Kathmandu today.
On the occasion, NTB CEO Dr Dhananjay Regmi paid his respects to the chefs and praised Chef Shah for adding a new dimension to Nepal's tourism by introducing Nepali cuisine to the world.

‘Nepal is considered as a beautiful destination by tourists. Now, the world has started to learn that Nepal is also an important destination in terms of culinary tourism because of Chef Santosh Shah,” Regmi said.
Similarly, welcoming other chefs along with chef Santosh to Nepal, Regmi said that their visit has also further helped Nepal’s culinary side. He also urged the team to return to Nepal and experience the country up close again.
Meanwhile, Chef Alex Wave, Chef Bart Van Der Lee and Chef Philly Armitage shared that they were happy to visit Nepal and learn about the art and culture here. They shared that Nepal is a beautiful country united in a truly original culture, adding that it is a beloved country for all.
The team of chefs including Chef Shah has been on a Nepal tour since April 7 for the 'Master Chef Finalist Tour to Nepal' tour program organized by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter under the COVID-19 pandemic tourism revival campaign promoted by NTB. The team has returned to Kathmandu after engaging in various tourist promotion activities in different parts of Nepal.
