Issuing a notice on Tuesday evening, the country’s largest university said that the public holiday granted to its staff has come to an end and all campuses across the country will open from Wednesday. Regular classes and library services, however, will not resume until further notice as decided by the government.

The university earlier on March 23 had postponed all the classes and the scheduled examinations in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak. All the teaching and non-teaching staff were granted leave until further notice.

The government had enforced lockdown orders later on March 24 after a few cases of COVID-19 were reported in different parts of the country. TU resumed its administrative services earlier on June 15.

The TU is preparing to conduct all the postponed examinations beginning the third week of August after the government decided to allow conducting academic as well as examination activities following proper safety measures.
