Interested candidates between the ages of 16 and 26 who are at least SLC graduates can apply for the contest before January 4, 2016. They should be at least 5 feet in height.Tamang girls living outside of Nepal are also encouraged to apply. Upali Gyabak from Darjeeling, India won the title in 2009 and Sumi Moktan of the US was crowned Miss Tamang in 2012.
Chairman of NTACC Milan Moktan informs, "We will be holding a close camp for a month at Sadhana Kala Kendra in Putalisadak. The participants will be instructed by all the former Miss Tamang title holders on themes like personality development and confidence building. They will also be given classes on basic Tamang language skills."
The title holder will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 200,000, a scooter, and will be the brand ambassador of Civil Homes. The first and second runner up will also be given various prizes.
