According to an official at Ministry of Labor and Transport Management, the number of total applications for this year´s test is about 10,000 more than what the ministry received in the previous test held some two years ago. Still, they told myrepublica.com, the number was lower than what they had anticipated.
The Ministry had hoped to receive application from well over 50,000 youths. Those excelling in the test will contest for the Korean job quota of 4,000 for 2010.

Ananda Bahadur Karki with mobile number 9851066350 has been declared winner and he will receive 22´´ inch Sony Bravia LCD TV, Dabur Nepal said in a statement.
The company also said it has launched Game 5 - which will be valid until July 5 -- from June 16 with a new picture. "Score the Real Goal" campaign was launched on April 30.
Global Bank helps EPS II
KATHMANDU, June 18: Global Bank Limited has successfully completed collecting examination fee from Nepali youths who are preparing for Korean Language Test (KLT) exam to work in Korea Republic under the Employment Promotion Scheme (EPS).
Global Bank assigned 80 employees and brought 16 counters into operation inside Dasharath Stadium from June 15-18 to facilitate applicants.
"We collected fee from about 42,000 applicants," the bank said in a statement on Friday.
