KATHMANDU, Aug 31: The BP Koirala Literary Award instituted by BP Koirala Memorial Trust will be conferred on senior writer Bhuwan Dhungana.
Likewise, the annual Freedom Fighter Award will be presented to Shyam Lal Shrestha. A Committee led by Trust's Treasurer Purushottam Basnet and consisting of members Baldev Sharma Majgainya, Dr Dhubra Chandra Gautam and Sushil Man Sherchan took the decision to hand over the award to Dhungana, Trust's General Secretary Ram Chandra Pokharel said.

The Literature Award carries a purse of Rs 101,000 while the Freedom Fighter Award carries a purse of Rs 25,000. Both awards will be presented to Dhungana and Shrestha on coming September 7, the 102nd birth anniversary of BP Koirala, famed Nepali litterateur and politician. RSS
