KATHMANDU, Oct 20: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has announced that it will continue its protest programs today, following the arrest of its Chairman Rabi Lamichhane.
According to RSP's Acting Spokesperson Manish Jha, the government has deliberately arrested their chairman, which is why the protest programs are ongoing. He mentioned that a protest program is scheduled to take place at Sahid Chowk in Pokhara. Top leaders of the RSP have already reached Pokhara for this event.

Meanwhile, the administration has tightened security in Pokhara, anticipating a possible confrontation between cooperative victims and RSP leaders and supporters. As Rabi Lamichhane is scheduled to be presented in court today, both sides have called for their supporters to gather for pressure demonstrations. Most of the top RSP leaders have already reached Pokhara and have been holding protests and pressure programs since Saturday.
RSP leaders have called on supporters to join the protest program at Sahid Chowk, near the Kaski District Court, where Rabi Lamichhane will be presented. Meanwhile, cooperative victims have also issued a public appeal for all victims to gather at Rastra Bank Square to press for justice and proper investigation.
Leaders from both the Nepali Congress and UML have also called on the public to join the pressure rally in support of the cooperative victims. As both groups prepare for a show of strength to gain public support, the administration has strengthened security measures in Pokhara.
