KATHMANDU, April 11: An Australian teenager and his Nepali guide were gored by a rhino at Chitwan National Park.
The teenager, William Peter Mcmanus, 18 and his guide, Jitu Mahato, 50 are undergoing treatment at Mediciti Hospital, Bhaisipati. Both of those injured are out of danger, according to the hospital staffers.
According to Ishwori Maharjan, a nurse at the hospital, William sustained injuries on his chest and legs.
“Jitu was hit on the left side. The gore broke eight of his ribs. He is out of danger as well” Dr. Bijoy Gopal Rajbanshi said.
