KATHMANDU, Sept 19: As there is a mounting concern that the outbreak of dengue could affect the upcoming Visit Nepal 2020, government officials said they have taken all necessary measures to ensure that no tourist is affected by this mosquito-borne fever.

SOLUKHUMBU, Dec 11: Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality has earned Rs 49.7 million from tourism fee in this tourist season. On a monthly breakdown, Rs 8 million was collected in September, Rs 26.6 million in October, and Rs 15.1 million in November.
Ilam sees a big influx of tourists, especially during September and October. The eastern province of Nepal -- notable for tea plantation -- is also renowned as a religious destination. In addition to embracing natural beauties the region holds, a large number of devotees also visit Ilam citing its religious values.
RASUWA, Aug 26: The number of pilgrims visiting Gosaikunda, a high-altitude tourist destination as well as a popular Hindu religious site, has been increasing in recent years. Almost 3,000 pilgrims have reached the place in the past week, particularly to observe the Janai Purnima festival. The festival runs for 10 days.
KATHMANDU, Aug 18: Tourist arrivals in 2018 has continued to break the old records of the country. Recording a remarkable growth of 18 percent in the first seven month of 2018, tourist arrival reached 593,299, according to a report compiled by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). The number was 502,544 in the corresponding period of 2017.

POKHARA, July 7: The Gandaki provincial government has said that it would start preparation for maintaining database of foreign tourists visiting Pokhara city. Local authorities have been saying that around 40 percent of total tourists visiting Nepal travel to Pokhara. But this is just a conservative estimate.
