RUKUM, May 14: Karna Bahadur Nakal aka Shishir, the in-charge of the Rukum East of the Biplab-led Nepal Communist Party, was arrested on Tuesday morning.
Police arrested the district leader of the underground NCP from Sanibheri rural municipality-3 of the district, according to DSP Sumit Khadka.
Acting on tip-off, a squad of police deployed from the District Police Office the Rukum East arrested Nakal at 2 am.
Nakal misbehaved and manhandled the police personnel when they were trying to arrest him, DSP Khadka said. "We have taken him into the custody for further investigation. He will face case under the public offence act," he said.
