RUKUM EAST, August 13: Six policemen who were injured in a vehicle accident in Rukum (East) have been rescued by helicopter. The six policemen including DSP of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force were injured when the police car met with an accident in Rukum (East) today.
Among the injured, police constables Kumar Dangi, Santosh Budha and Laxman Pun Magar are in serious condition, according to police. The accident took place when the vehicle fell some 100 meters off the road at Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality-11 when it was heading towards Taksera of Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality from Rukumkot.
The injured include Deputy Superintendent of Police of the Nepal Police, Prakash Dangi, and Deputy Superintendent of Police of Armed Police Force, Rabindra Shrestha. The seriously injured were airlifted to Nepalgunj by Nepali Army helicopter.

According to District Police Office Information Officer Police Inspector Krishna Khatri, the helicopter has taken three seriously injured people and will take three more people later. Chief District Officer Tularaj Sunuwar said that the rescue work is still underway.
