COVID-19: Bibekseel Nepali Dal sets up hotline for public

KATHMANDU, March 30: Bibeksheel Nepali Dal has set up a hotline for the public who need emergency support regarding the food supplies in the capital during the time of nationwide lockdown.

KATHMANDU, March 30: Bibeksheel Nepali Dal has set up a hotline for the public who need emergency support regarding the food supplies in the capital during the time of nationwide lockdown.


People who need help can contact at 9843933805, the party stated in a press release today. This number will be available on Viber, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger.


According to the press release, the party has also established a citizen help desk in a bid to facilitate citizens during the lockdown period which has been extended until April 7.

The help desk is being operated by the coronavirus prevention and coordination committee formed by the party.


According to the head of the Information Department of the party Alok Subedi, the party has operated vehicles in Kathmandu valley from today to distribute food items and facilitate the customers.


The party also vowed to provide transport services to pregnant women. One who wants to get help has to fill up the form issued by the party.


Likewise, the party has started disseminating coronavirus-related video information in various languages including Nepali, English, Maithili, Bhojpuri and Newari.


Also, the party has been jointly working with the government of Nepal in Province 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 to trace and test those who have returned to the country from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries.


In its statement, the party urged one and all to strictly follow the lockdown orders issued by the government to contain the coronavirus.
