Bheri Hospital conducts successful surgery of 11 quake victim

NEPALGUNJ, Nov 9: Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj has successfully conducted surgical procedures for 11 individuals who sustained injuries in the recent earthquake. The earthquake had caused the collapse of their homes, resulting in injuries to various parts of their bodies, including their limbs and heads.

NEPALGUNJ, Nov 9: Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj has successfully conducted surgical procedures for 11 individuals who sustained injuries in the recent earthquake. The earthquake had caused the collapse of their homes, resulting in injuries to various parts of their bodies, including their limbs and heads.


The earthquake-affected individuals from Jajarkot and Rukum (West) were transported to Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj starting from Saturday. The hospital ensured that surgeries were conducted in an orderly manner, taking into account the condition of the injured.

Naresh Shrestha, Focal Person of Banke District Emergency Operations Center, informed Republica that 11 injured individuals have undergone surgery.


Birendra Shah, chairman of the Bheri Hospital Development Committee, assured that there is no shortage of treatment, including surgical procedures, for the earthquake victims. He also mentioned that those who have undergone surgery are in the process of recovery.


So far, 57 injured individuals have come to the hospital for treatment. One of the injured died on the way to Bheri Hospital. Shrestha said that three people admitted to the hospital were referred elsewhere for further treatment. According to him, the health condition of two injured persons is complicated.


Senior Orthopedic Surgeon at Bheri Hospital, Dr Prakash Thapa, has explained the nature of the surgery that has recently been performed. He provided information about the patients who have undergone surgical procedures until now. The surgical team includes Dr Thapa, another senior orthopedic surgeon, Dr Tirthendra Khadka, and others.
