SURKHET, April 19: Construction of a bailey bridge at Tallu over Bheri river along the Bheri corridor has reached the final stage.
Project Chief Sunil Ranjitkar said that all plates of the bailey bridge have been fixed and the remaining base plates would be installed from Saturday. The bridge is considered a lifeline for the districts of Dolpa, Jajarkot and Rukum Paschim in Karnali Province.
Revised interest rate corridor system introduced
According to Ranjitkar, they have planned to complete the entire work of the bridge within a week. The government has allocated Rs 38.1 million for the construction of the bailey bridge at Tallu that connects Dolpa, Jajarkot and Rukum Paschim districts.
The bridge is a crucial road infrastructure as it establishes a road link between Nepal, India and China.
