KATHMANDU, Aug 16: Apollo Hospitals held a press conference in Kathmandu highlighting recent advances in plastic and reconstructive surgery and the growing use of robotics and artificial intelligence in healthcare.

Dr. Singh highlighted advances in burn management, including early wound excision, cadaver skin, improved wound care and reconstructive techniques, which have improved outcomes for patients with extensive burns and enabled greater focus on rehabilitation and quality of life.
Dr. Prasad said robotic surgery and AI are increasingly integrated into Apollo’s surgical and diagnostic services, supporting greater precision, earlier disease detection and faster recovery.
The hospital said the event reaffirmed its commitment to providing specialised medical care to patients across Nepal and the wider region.
