KATHMANDU, Jan 9: At least 362 new COVID-19 cases have been detected in Nepal in the last 24 hours, according to the government.
The latest data released by the Ministry of Health and Population showed that 362 people are tested positive for the COVID-19. The number includes 203 females and 159 males. The country also reported three new deaths linked to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Likewise, a total of 194 new cases have been detected in the Kathmandu Valley. Of those tested positive for the virus, 91 are females and 103 are males. In the Valley, 153 cases have been reported in Kathmandu district, while Bhaktapur and Lalitpur district each have reported 18 and 23 new cases, respectively.
The data also showed that 699 people infected with COVID-19 have recovered from the contagion in the past 24 hours.
As of Saturday, Nepal has reported a total of 264,521 cases, with 1,912 deaths linked to this virus infection.
